It has come to the Board's attention that the senior housing "Severson Manor" located at the corner of Stonington Hill Road and Maple Ave) has plans to expand the development.  It has been suggested that a second, larger building and garages would be placed upon the same site.

The Village of Voorheesville has already been approved all of the variances.  The next step is a site plan review and approval of a number of building issues and requirements such as egress and storm water issues by the Village planning commission. Approval by this commission is required to continue with the project.

The planning commission meetings are also open to the public.  They meet the “1st Tuesday following the 1st Wednesday of every month.”  The next three meetings are on May 13, June 10, and July 8.  

The SHPA was advised that the Severson project IS NOT on the calendar for the May meeting but will likely be on the calendar for the June (and July if necessary) meetings.
